Pecans in Honey

Honey & Walnuts is a classic European combination commonly served as part of a cheese board. We’ve given this classic…a twist.

Having grown up on a pecan orchard, Nona has a preference for the small pecans varieties. They are higher in oil content, have firmer meat and more flavor than their larger paper shell cousins.

Honey & nuts will pair with so many cheeses on a cheese board - some of our favorites are: Gouda and Gouda style cheeses, Gorgonzola, farmhouse cheddar, Pecorino Toscano, Taleggio and Manchego.

They are delicious spooned atop oatmeal, unsweetened yogurt or ice cream.

For dessert here's our favorite Mexican Brownie recipes that is perfect paired with Pecans & Honey on top.


The pecans will infuse some of their nutty flavor into the honey. Use the honey in salad dressing and top the nuts to the salad.
